On the Clock Tour

The "On the Clock Tour" is an innovative approach to drumming up excitement for the draft, taking fans on a journey through Detroit's seven neighborhood districts with 10 unique stops. Launched on January 13 and spanning until the draft, the tour features a rich tapestry of activities ranging from food trucks and arcade games to interactive Detroit Lions inflatables and appearances by the team's mascot, Roary. It offers a perfect blend of football fandom and local culture, making it a must-visit for anyone in Detroit during the draft season.

The tour stops are strategically placed across the city, ensuring attendees can experience the diverse fabric of Detroit's communities. Each event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with unique themes like the Winterfest and Easter Fun Fest, providing unique experiences at every turn.

NFL Draft Experience

The NFL Draft Experience, coinciding with the draft dates, is a free and interactive football theme park. Fans can access the Experience using NFL OnePass. The Experience will feature interactive NFL exhibits, autograph sessions, photo opportunities with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and many interactive games. It's an essential experience for any NFL fan, offering an inside look at the league's rich history and current dynamics. Additional events will be hosted at Beacon Park, Capitol Park, Grand Circus Park, Harmonie Park, and along Woodward Ave.

Schedule of Events

The draft spans three days in the last weekend of April. The first round occurs on Thursday night, April 25, in the Draft Theater in downtown Detroit. The second and third rounds take place on Friday night, and the fourth through seventh rounds start at noon on Saturday.

Besides attending the draft, fans can participate in the NFL Draft Experience at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza all three days.

  • 2024 NFL Draft Day 3 (Rounds 4–7): Draft Theater at Randolph and Monroe St. (12–7 p.m.)

NFL OnePass

Those attending the draft and fan experiences should strongly consider downloading the NFL OnePass app. The app will include event information (security and entry procedures, schedule updates, map, attractions list) and a waiver to participate in the NFL Draft Experience.

The NFL won’t limit the number of passes, though access could be restricted to places like Campus Martius Park if capacity is reached. Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to fill the event’s landscape, which stretches through Campus Martius and Cadillac Square south down Woodward Ave. through Hart Plaza.
